Children & Family Ministries

St George's Family Ministry Supports Sunday School and Activity Programs for Children

Sunday School Programs are offered for children of all ages from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Youth fellowship and activity programs are offered for 7th – 12th grades through Episcopal Youth Community.

Vacation Bible School 2013

Vacation Bible School is June 17-21: "ReNew"  Register Now.  Ifyou would like to volunteer on the VBS staff please Catherine Bilow know of your willingness to help.  "ReNew" is the theme of St. George's VBS:"Grounded in Jesus’ Parable of the Sower, ReNew: The Green VBS brings together the Bible and environmental stewardship. Children grow in faith as they play, learn, sing, and work toward renewing their congregations and communities.  Cost $15 per child/$40 max per family.  Limited to 50 children.  Register by calling the church office, or downloading the Registration Forms.

Children's Choirs

We have two children's choirs at St. George's.

  •  The Canterbury Choir includes boys and girls grade 3 through 12.
  •  The St. Cecilia Choir includes boys and girls, ages 4-6.

Where: St. Georges Episcopal Church-We will be in the parish hall on Sunday nights beginning the first weekend of Lent.

Episcopal Summer Camps

Sign up now for Camp Gailor-Maxon , Tennessee's Episcopal Church Summer camp at DuBose Conference Center in Montegle!

Interested in a camp where you can hike, swim, make lasting friendships, learn about God, sing songs and more? Camp Cailor-Maxon, the oldest Episcopal church camp in Tennessee, is located on Monteagle Mountain. Camp sessions are available for children and youth, ranging from an introductory weekend with a parent for risiing 1st-3rd graders to full-week sessions for rising 4th graders to college freshmen.

The deadline for applications is May 15th - sign-ups after the 15th are available, but incur a late fee.

Episcopal Day Camp at St. Columba Conference and Retreat Center

Episcopal Day Camp will be launching online registration on 1/1/13. Episcopal Day Camp is among the most popular day camps in the Memphis-area and we are excited that we are expanding our program in 2013. St. George's Episcopal Preschool

SGEP is a licensed preschool accepting children ages 15 months to 5 years old. SGEP is open M-F 9:30 - 2:30, but most children attend MWF or TTH. For more information please visit the Preschool Section.

Episcopal Youth Community (E.Y.C.)

E.Y.C. provides a variety of programs for the Junior and Senior High youth. Grades 7-12 meet on Sunday nights, and engage in outreach services and fellowship activities. For more information please visit our E.Y.C. Section.
